Incredible bluegrass dobro and more—from Michigan!
Anyone that has witnessed Mark Lavengood perform will attest to these three key attributes: his big heart, wild energy on stage, and the aptitude on the many instruments that he plays. Having released 2 LPs and a 7 inch vinyl under his own name in conjunction with 2 LPs, an EP, and an album on the way with international touring act Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys, Mark Lavengood is no stranger to the hustle of the music industry. He comes to The Ark with his third full-length album, "We’ve Come Along," released in May by Earthwork Music. Also on tonight's bill: The Native Howl, whose newest undertaking is a self-produced EP, "Thrash Grass, " featuring five tracks that truly embody the album's title. The songs are The Native Howl's own unique blend of bluegrass and thrash metal. Fans can expect to hear immersive four part vocal harmonies, aggressive drum patterns, relentless melodic instrumental picking, and memorable hooks.
